Kristen is a rising sophomore at Gettysburg College where she is majoring in history and Civil War era studies. This summer, she is completing an internship with the Civil War Institute as a Brian C. Pohanka Fellow at Harpers Ferry National Park.
Upon completion of her Bachelor’s degree, she plans to work at the Missouri Civil War Museum and eventually earn a Master’s degree in museum studies and history.
“Growing up in a very patriotic home deepened my appreciation towards our troops. Even more so, being able to connect with the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation and your family has been one of the most meaningful experiences in my life. I have a completely new outlook on my life as an American.”
